Connector Plate Regional Sales Manager – Atlantic Canada


MiTek® Canada, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and motivated Connector Plate Regional Sales Manager in Atlantic Canada to work from a home-based office.

WHO WE NEED

A self-driven and accountable, high integrity individual with strong consultative selling and customer relationship building capabilities. The individual will possess a technical aptitude with knowledge of structural loading and design and the Canadian Construction Industry and ideally detailed knowledge of the truss industry. The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working in a multi-tasking environment. They effectively act as a business advisor/strategic partner on product and technical knowledge, new software features, initiatives, services, machinery, and many other areas. Your main responsibilities are to:


  • Represent MiTek in a professional demeanor, actively supporting the Corporation’s Strategy, Core Values, Guiding Principles, Mission, and Vision
  • and maintain strong client relationships with existing accounts while focusing on
  • Canadian strategic goals and objectives
  • new accounts and organically grow existing accounts.
  • communicate with clients in person, via TEAMS, phone and email and plan and execute visits to clients quarterly to build strong business relationships, respond to their questions, issues, and concerns. Follow-up on activity on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • all business practices, be mindful of profit and promote the organization as a company of people, service, and product.
  • work with all divisions and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded and facilitate the exchange of information on client requirements between all team members including customer service, engineering, accounting, marketing, operations, etc.
  • and grow technical knowledge on the homebuilding, commercial, agricultural and multi-family industry.
  • and maintain Customer Contracts, License and Service agreements.
  • pricing to clients via quotes, contracts and price lists.
  • tours and seminars, and accompany machinery installers and software technical support as required.
  • obtain, develop, and report on knowledge of territory, industry, competitors and market forces
  • specifiers to promote products, services and specification as required.
  • Represent company at trade shows and other professional activities.
  • Monthly and regular reporting as required.
  • May be asked to assist accounting department with debit/credit reconciliation.
  • Complete paperwork, i.e. expense reports, territory reports, etc.
  • Regularly use Salesforce for customer management, leads, cases, file repository and reporting
  • Keep VP of Sales aware of sales conditions in territory
  • Other duties as required.


SKILLS & ABILITIES


  • Self-driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethic, team player
  • Strong selling skills and customer relationship-building capabilities with a technical aptitude.
  • Ability to drive successful execution of sales targeting initiatives.
  • Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong time management skills
  • Must be able to handle various tasks simultaneously and prioritize.
  • Ability to act professionally with others, including coworkers, vendors, and customers.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel within the defined territory (travel varies and can be up to 50% of time) as well as some occasional out-of-province/country travel.
  • Salesforce knowledge is an asset


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • least 5 years in a sales role in the building products/construction industry
  • Civil Engineering Technologist or similar or Post-Secondary education in an Engineering or Business related discipline.
